Here's how it works
The AtlasAlive Web GIS Framework is sold as a server software product on a
subscription basis. The use of the software is governed by a license agreement, a copy of which can be
viewed online at the DGS website.
- A customer purchases a subscription to the DGS Software Library. A subscription will last one year.
The subscription can be extended at any point for the subscription renewal fee.
- Using that subscription, a customer can download the AtlasAlive software from
the DGS Software Library.
- DGS will periodically add major or minor updates to the Software Library. As long as your subscription is up-to-date, you may download software updates.
- Once AtlasAlive is installed and run for the first time, a dialogue will appear
requesting an activation key. Contact DGS with the information provided in the activation screen which identifies your server.
- DGS will issue you an activiation key for that server which is tied to your Manifold installation and the AtlasAlive version that was purchased.
Configure that key and AtlasAlive will be operational.
- The customer is issued one key to operate one production server. That key will determine how many active maps can be served using the software.
- The customer can continue to operate the software after the subscription period
has expired, though they will not have access to any updates.
